Dallas, TX, April 14, 2021 - After a rigorous review process, Kings III’s emergency phone host control panel, the M90, is now FirstNet Ready® and ready for use on FirstNet®.
FirstNet, Built with AT&T is a public-private partnership with the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) – an independent agency within the federal government. It’s designed with and for first responders and the public safety agencies and extended community that could be called on to support them.
The Kings III M90, now FirstNet Ready®, supports access to a physically separate and dedicated FirstNet network core and Band 14 spectrum - nationwide, high-quality spectrum set aside by the government specifically for FirstNet. We look at Band 14 as public safety’s VIP lane. FirstNet eligible customers can feel confident the Kings III M90 combined with FirstNet services will provide the necessary critical connectivity in a reliable, highly secure, and cost-effective manner.
Dave Mann, VP of Technology at Kings III, explains how FirstNet combines with Kings III products and monitoring for a better overall solution.
“Our emergency phones are capable of accessing FirstNet. This high-quality spectrum is reserved only for FirstNet, giving an unprecedented priority to our emergency calls.”
Dave Mann, VP of Technology
FirstNet benefits include:
- One, nationwide communications platform that allows public safety to coordinate emergency responses efficiently and effectively across agencies and jurisdictions.
- A separate, dedicated, and highly secure network core purpose-built for public safety's sensitive communications.
- Innovative tools-- like relevant applications and connected devices-- to give public safety more actionable information for heightened situational awareness.
FirstNet embedded solutions go through extensive review, so first responders can be confident that the Kings III M90 meets the highest standards for reliability, security, and performance.
“The certification process is complex and rigorous,” says Mann. “Every aspect of our emergency phone is examined and tested. The procedure is lengthy and detailed so that only the highly functional devices that are proven to work well with FirstNet are given certification. As of now, Kings III is the only company that has embedded FirstNet into our fully turnkey emergency phone solution that includes monitoring at our ETL-listed monitoring center staffed by Advanced Emergency Medical Dispatch (AEMD) certified operators.”
Kings III is thrilled to be able to offer this exclusive emergency monitoring upgrade to its customers. Visit here for more information on Kings III.
