COPPELL, Texas, April 28, 2023 – Kings III of America (“Kings III”), a leading third-party provider of elevator and pool emergency monitoring solutions in North America, today announced that as part of a thoughtful succession process, Dennis Mason will be stepping down as Chief Executive Officer and transitioning to Senior Advisor, effective May 1, 2023. Norm Nelson, who has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2018, will succeed Mr. Mason as CEO. Kings III is a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management.
During his 18 years as CEO, Mr. Mason helped drive substantial revenue growth, customer and market share expansion, and team development. He steered Kings III through its successful transition from private family ownership to private equity in 2017 and since then, has continued the company’s track record of outperformance. Mr. Mason brought with him a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, having owned and operated his family’s independent elevator company, Modern Elevator, in Southern California for 12 years, carrying a multitude of elevator licenses and Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) certifications. Under Mr. Mason’s leadership, Kings III established itself as a disrupter in the elevator communications industry, remaining at the forefront of technological innovation and providing invaluable code compliance expertise to both customers and channel partners.

Since joining Kings III, Mr. Nelson has overseen field operations, customer service and retention, and the Emergency Dispatch Center. Prior to Kings III, he spent six years in senior roles at Vivint Smart Home, leading central station management, customer experience and field planning, deployment, and optimization. Earlier in his career, Mr. Nelson developed a breadth of experience at various technology companies, including Omniture, a business optimization software later acquired by Adobe Systems, Numeric Analytics, a systems integrator for marketing teams, and MWI, an SEO and web development services business.
